Oh my God, singing in the shower is the single greatest human right we have left in this chaotic world, and I will die on this hill—preferably mid-high-note with conditioner dripping down my face like dramatic tears of joy! The acoustics? Chef's kiss. The water pressure? Instant reverb that makes me sound like I'm headlining Araneta Coliseum instead of a tiny bathroom in El Nido. I step in, the hot water hits, and suddenly I'm not just some wedding planner—I'm Regine Velasquez, Lea Salonga, and a possessed Celine Dion all rolled into one loofah-wielding diva! Neighbors probably think there's a concert happening behind the tiles, but joke's on them: I'm selling out every single morning show for an audience of exactly one (me) and the occasional judgmental gecko on the wall.
And don't even get me started on the song choices—OPM power ballads at 7 a.m.? Yes. Full-on "My Heart Will Go On" with the showerhead as my emotional mic stand? Absolutely. I hit those whistle notes so hard the mirror fogs up faster just to escape the glory. Sure, I swallow half a bottle of shampoo mid-chorus and turn it into an accidental soap opera, but that's just method acting, baby! The world outside can have their quiet mornings; I'll take my private sold-out residency where pitch doesn't matter, judgment doesn't exist, and every bad day gets drowned out by pure, unhinged, off-key passion.
So yeah, if you book me for your wedding and hear faint echoes of "Bituing Walang Ningning" drifting from the venue bathroom during setup... mind your business. That's just me warming up the soul before I make your "I do" picture-perfect. Shower singing isn't a habit—it's therapy, it's therapy with reverb, and it's the only place where this Pinay can truly let loose without anyone asking for an encore (or earplugs). Mic drop.
